Why it pays to get it right the first time – Monetary, Reputational and Legal

This topic is near and dear to my heart and after thinking about it for years it is time to get after it. This article will be the first on the topic from me, and may evolve into a book, documentaries, etc.

Rework is very expensive in terms of time, money and reputational risk. I have several of my own experiences to draw from, in my personal life and my business life. I also know many people that can provide great examples of how rework cost them or their companies thousands or millions of dollars – and more.

From having to get my braces redone at the age of 27, or having to call our builder because they put in the wrong flooring (which had to be replaced at their expense), or condominiums collapsing due to poor design and engineering, there are so many examples of wasted time, money and reputation that a person could fill thousands of books with case studies.

Examples in engineering, manufacturing, medicine, government, education, building and others will be covered.

I am excited about this new calling and look forward to sharing real life, non-AI generated content with you.

Stay tuned!
